A truly fantastic bike ride! Silvio was born and raised in San Gimignano so it is his home. He started by taking us on a fun tour of the alleys, streets and squares. Through a maze of twists and turns that show us parts of the city that we would probably never have seen otherwise. He led us just outside and along the old city walls and showed us the ancient springs and baths used by the Etruscans, Romans and later medieval citizens. All this in the first half hour. The next two hours were spent exploring roads and paths around the suburbs with all sorts of small communities and a beautiful, old Romanesque church and monastery. The views of the city were incredible! Silvio is a great guide and simply a very kind person.

Our bike tour with Silvio was one of the highlights of our week in Tuscany! He showed us the best of San Gimignano and the local countryside with well-informed explanations of what we were seeing, making sure we all stayed in a group (4 of us). Silvio carved out a path for us suited to our abilities (family with children). He showed us S. Gimignano as we would never have seen it, also explaining some of its peculiarities. Strong Passionate cyclist, surely even those with faster goals will find the right guide in him. Top highly recommended!!!

Absolutely fantastic morning with Silvio: we started with a tour around the city, seeing secret views and private areas not usually accessible to tourists. Then we walked a stretch of the Via Francigena. A great way to spend our morning!
To top it off, he dropped us off at the best spot for coffee and croissants AND got us the best table, with the best view in a restaurant we hadn't managed to get into by phoning ourselves. Cannot recommend enough!

What can I say, I waited a day to write because I didn't want the euphoria at the end of the tour to influence my judgement.
It was the first time I met Silvio and, if I have the opportunity, it won't be the last.
